Coagrosol began in 1999, a group of small producers and pickers, tired of the monopoly from the Big Orange Industry, came together and in an act of protest, threw tons of fruits in streets of Sao Paulo, advocating for fair and worthy life.
This act shocked people worldwide, mainly in Europe. As a result of this protest, in 2000, Coagrosol was founded and certified by the Fair Trade Labelling Organization (FLO) now called Fairtrade International. Ten years later, many benefits of commercialization through the fair trade system are visible among the co-operative's members.

Coopealnor

Coopealnor co-operative was founded on September 20, 2007, as the result of a pilot project conducted by a group of associations in Brazil, in the north of Bahia. It was founded to commercialize products as a group as well as to capitalize on every associations' knowledge for better education among family farmers.
 
Other products harvested in small scale by Coopealnor are green and dry coconut, beans, pineapple, watermelon, cassava and corn.

Facilitate the commercialization of the production of family farmers located in the north of Bahia and facilitate access to markets while guaranteeing a fair price.
